Abundance is in an early, foundation-building phase.

At the moment, work is focused on two parallel processes:

1. Domain expert mapping

We are engaging domain experts to identify feasible first-year actions across key areas, including:

• AI and data governance

• agriculture and food systems

• energy systems

• robotics and automation

• cooperative and legal structures

The purpose of this work is to define what can realistically be built first, in what order, and with what constraints. These inputs will shape all subsequent technical and cooperative development.

Expert engagement at this stage is targeted and contextual, rather than open-ended.

2. Core technical foundations

In parallel, we are extending the core technical infrastructure that future work will depend on.

This includes:

• refining the UX of the participation and coordination (Kindness) platform

• building out digital infrastructure for AI dataset creation and stewardship

• establishing secure, auditable workflows for civic-aligned AI development

For this work, we are currently looking to speak with experienced practitioners in areas such as:

• UI / UX design

• frontend development

• backend development

• DevOps and infrastructure

• data security and privacy

• data engineering and data science

This is foundational work. The focus is on robustness, clarity, and reuse rather than speed or visibility.
